Dutch artist Robin Kester proves that creative breakthroughs often come from the simplest approaches with her latest single ‘An Hour Per Day’. Born from a period of writer’s block, the track emerged when Kester committed to spending just sixty minutes daily on something she loved, which naturally became crafting this very song.

This single offers another glimpse into ‘Dark Sky Reserve’, Kester’s sophomore album arriving via Memphis Industries this September. The record marks her first venture recording outside the Netherlands, with sessions taking place in Bristol alongside producer Ali Chant. The album also features contributions from notable collaborators, including Rozi Plain and Portishead’s Adrian Utley, suggesting an expansion of Kester’s already compelling chamber pop sound.

Following previous singles ‘Departure’ and ‘Happy Sad (It’s A Party)’, this latest offering continues building anticipation for what promises to be a significant step forward in Kester’s artistic journey.
